Hunter Valley Ukulele Retreat
19-22 October 2025
The Inaugural Ukulele retreat was held at the Voco Kirkton Park in the Hunter Valley Wine region of Australia. - just two hours north drive from Sydney. The event was an enormous success where over 70 guests (including non-playing partners) enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere, great food and facilities and, of course, the incredible opportunity to learn and improve their ukulele skills from master teachers.
Our ukulele master teachers included Matt Dahlberg from Washington State, Mika Kane and Kalei Gamiao from Hawaii as well as Ian Porter from Sydney. They inspired our guests with their amazing playing skills and dynamic small group workshops and ensemble works which were created for all levels of playing from confident beginners to advanced players.
Testamonials
Allan: “ I am sending my sincere thanks once again for the massive effort you put into a fabulously successful Hunter Valley Retreat. We are still floating from that experience. Most days we sit down for a morning coffee between 10 and 11 and we have been playing/reliving the Body Surfing video and also the three uke master's performances every time. We have also been sharing with our rels/friends and getting very positive feedback.”
Barbara: “Simply beautiful, and it inspires me to keep playing, and learning”
Roger: “I think that the value for money was there for me, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again next year”
